Yoga to improve your Fertility and Endometriosis!

Yoga to improve your Fertility and Endometriosis!

I would like to introduce you to Allanah Law. She is one of my subscribers and is a highly trained Yoga Practioner. She is based in Melbourne, Australia and has recently discovered that she has Endometriosis, which is how she came to find my site. 🙂

She believes her pain and associated difficulties associated with Endometriosis have been greatly reduced by her ability to practice Yoga daily. Her goal is to do a thesis specifically focused on Yoga for Endometriosis, to help more women cope with Endometriosis.

Allanah has started a new website to help with Fertility and I thought I would share one of the video’s with you.

This is incredibly easy for us all to do and will help alleviate any pressure in the lower meridian of the body.

You can visit Allanah’s new site here:

Hopefully, Allanah will share more of her knowledge with us in the future 🙂

Thanks Allanah for a great site and fabulous work 🙂

  1. Hi there. I am new to this site and and happy to share my experience with you and am learning a lot from all of your stories. It helps my heavy heart to hear new things to try. I think when it come to living with a chronic disease, we have have remain positive and optimistic. I know what works for me may not for you and vice a versa. I have endometriosis and adenomyosis. I have been trying to convincing for a year and have been told id in nearly impossible, especially with both diseases. The adenomyosis is much more rare and makes conceiving even more challenging. Yoga helps with the pain and tight muscles surrounding the uterus. I have been practicing the poses listed in an article in the yoga journal
It is important there is some guidance with these poses so that the body is positioned properly. The last thing you need is an injury.
Mayan massage is also a good thing to try.
    Well wishes!

    • Thanks Amanda. I have heard of adenomyosis – it is a hard one! You will pull through though and find a way to heal – just trust in your bodies own healing abilities 🙂

  2. How encouraging that so many people are trying yoga for their endometriosis. Thanks so much Mel, I’m so grateful for you getting the word out there.

A word of caution concerning Iyengar yoga, the teachers are all incredibly well trained, but holding the positions for so long can case strain to an already overstrained body trying to deal with an illness. So go carefully and mindfully.

I will get something (preferably free and downloadable) out there soon for endo.

    Will let you know!

  3. Try Iyengar Yoga teachers as well. They are highly trained and have techniques that will help alleviate adhesions etc. It is incredibly empowering to have yet another tool at our disposal to help with all the problems endo. causes! I’ve been taking Iyengar yoga for years and it has helped me greatly. They also have specific poses for our problems and lots of collective experience in dealing with them.

  4. Thanks Melissa for this link. I am looking to buy cds/books on the various yoga postures that help with endometriosis. Hopefully will get more pointers from your blog as I go by 🙂
