Endo Empowered - Revolutionizing the Healing of Endometriosis Logo

nuggets of wisdom on reducing PAIN & SYmPTOMS naturally

without the risk of surgery or nasty hormone treatments

A special Endometriosis Juice, just for us Endo Women! Support the immune system, activate the liver and invigorate the digestive system!

I found this recipe in Dr Carbots book – Raw Juices can save your life!. It is an awesome book with juice recipe’s for all sorts of different ailments. The best thing is, that it tells you what each ingredient contains and how this will help your body. I always find this helps me get motivated to crank up the machine!

So, herewith the recipe:

  • 1 Carrot
  • 1/2 cup of chopped wheatgrass (if you can get some)
  • 1cm slice of Ginger Root
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  • 1/4 medium-sized pineapple. Cut of most of skin but you can leave some of the rough bits on.
  • 1 whole orange or grapefruit – skin on
  • 2 dark spinach leaves
  • 1/4 cup of parsley
Here is the interesting stuff!
What is in all this stuff that is going to help our bodies heal?
Carrots: We know they are good for the eyes. What you might not know is that carrots reduce inflammation in the mucous membranes of our intestines, respiratory tract and uterus! Also promotes high quality breast milk and a healthy pregnancy. Contains Vitamins B,C,D,E,K and beta-carotene. Minerals include calcium, iron, phosphorous, chromium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, iodine, silica, chlorine and sulphur.
Wheatgrass – I must learn to grow this one myself! 🙂 This is a powerful cleanser and detoxifier of the blood and liver. Strengthens the immune system. Reduces high blood pressure and increases energy levels. Anti-ageing capabilities. Vitamins B,C,E,K, Folic acid, B17, beta-carotene. Minerals include calcium, zinc, potassium, phosphorous, sodium, sulphur and cobalt. High in chlorophyll.
Ginger Root – Natural anti-biotic for the whole body. Reduces congestion and mucous production. Fights the common cold and flu. Inhibits the formation of inflammatory prostaglandins. (please read what these are if you don’t know)
Vitamin C and minerals include copper, potassium, sodium, iron, calcium, zinc, phosphorous and magnesium.
Coriander Leaves – Aids the liver by stimulating bile and digestive juices to break down fats and toxins in the body. Relieves gas and reduces digestive cramps. Known to reduce asthma and stomach-upsets. Good for the bladder too! Vitamins B,C and folic acid. Minerals include potassium, sodium and magnesium.
Pineapple – anti-inflammatory properties and contains a digestive protein called bromelain. Mild laxative and diuretic properties. Reduces mucous congestion. Helps with weight loss.
Orange/ Grapefruit – Removes excess calcium from the joints. Helps with the liver, digestive problems and skin problems. Vitmamins B, E, beta-carotene, biotin and inositol. High levels of Vitamin C for the immune system. Minerals include calcium, iron, phosphorous and potassium.
Spinach – Heals the lining of the digestive tract. Improves vision. Maintains healthy blood vessels. Supports kidney and liver function. Great if low iron levels in the body! Reduces heavy menstrual bleeding. Reduces fatigue and constipation. Vitamins B,C, K, Choline, inositol, folic acid and beat-carotene. Minerals include iron, iodine, calcium, phosphorous, potassium and sulphur.
Parsley – Excellent cleanser of the liver, kidneys and blood. Reduces gallstones and kidney stones. Helpful for urinary tract infections and arthritis. Excellent diuretic. Maintains healthy eyes. Vitamins B, Folic acid and very high in vitamin C. Minerals include sodium, calcium, potassium, phosphorous, copper, manganese. High in iron and chlorophyll.
So, you can see just how much goodness is in this one little juice! If you haven’t bought a juice yet, this is your motivation to get one – perhaps a good Christmas present! Make sure you get the right one. It must be a Masserator juicer, that grinds the vegetables/fruit rather than heat, speed or friction type juicer.
Do you juice? What are your favourites and what gives you an instant energy boost? Immune supporters? I love juicing! It just feels so good!
Hugs, Melissa x

Thank you so much for this article! I am just beginning to learn about endo in my 40’s. The pain and symptoms are absolutely debilitating and the thought of doping up with percocet and other pharmaceuticals like birth control make me want to puke.
